Closing of investigation No. III_33_2023 – development of village accommodations and dirt roads in Pétervására

The Integrity Authority conducted an investigation ex officio concerning the project entitled “Development of village accommodations in Pétervására”, referenced as VP-1851543333 and funded by the European Union with HUF 49,652,796 as part of the Rural Development Programme, the beneficiary of which was István Eged, mayor of Pétervására.
The Authority extended the investigation onto project no. VP-3321478013 entitled “Development of dirt roads with lot no. 0120 and 0122 on the outskirts of Pétervására”, as a result of which the Municipality of Pétervására carried out the development of two dirt roads adjacent to the guesthouse serving as the basis of the report, using HUF 139,959,695 of European Union funds.
The Authority detected a number of irregularities concerning the use of funds and therefore issued a request to the intermediate body and managing authority to conduct a maintenance audit and an irregularity proceeding, respectively.
