Complaint no. IH-IV/44/2023

Based on a public-interest report, the Integrity Authority filed a complaint at the Central Chief Prosecution Office of Investigation against unknown persons for the offence of passive and active corruption on 24 July 2023.

According to the report, the department head of a provincial government office asked for and accepted money from farmers following the disbursement of the grant amounts. The reporting person reported having had to, occasionally, hand an amount corresponding to 5-10% of the grant amount over to the department head in an envelope in exchange for administrative cooperation provided during the support. According to the reporting person, the European Union grant financed from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development is also affected in the case.
