Following an amendment adopted yesterday, the Integrity Authority is required to review the asset declarations submitted by the members of the board of trustees of university trust funds. The Authority welcomes this assignment and will do everything to comply with its legal obligation, which, according to the president of the institution, requires expanding access to data and modifying the legislative environment that defines its operations to ensure execution.

The Integrity Authority is pleased with the amendment that will once again enable every Hungarian student to participate in the Erasmus programme, while our colleagues will do everything to comply with this new legal obligation as well. For the Integrity Authority to review in full the asset declarations of the members of the board of trustees, it must have adequate legal authorisation and access to all necessary information. The Authority elaborated on these databases and information in its asset declaration report published in late 2023. A proposal for a legislative amendment to enable the execution of this undertaking has been prepared and submitted by the Authority to the Ministry of Justice. This proposal will facilitate the completion of the task, allow Hungarian students to gain experience abroad, and ultimately enable them to put that experience to good use at home.
