Privacy Policy

As the European Union enters a new era of anti-corruption reforms, the current political and institutional environment presents Hungary with an important opportunity to strengthen the guarantees of the rule of law, advance public policy renewal, and break free from long-established path dependencies.

Organised by the Integrity Authority, the Budapest Integrity Conference 2026 explores the most pressing domestic and international issues related to corruption prevention and the promotion of integrity. The conference provides a forum for dialogue among Hungarian and international experts, policymakers, researchers, and civil society representatives working in the fields of anti-corruption, the rule of law, and public policy.

The conference focuses on accountability in relation to integrity and transparency, and accountability in the public sector, as well as current challenges to the rule of law. Special attention is given to the presentation of international experiences and good practices, as well as to the discussion of innovative approaches and practical solutions.

Among other key questions, the programme will examine how credible and sustainable institutional reforms can be developed and implemented; how civil society organisations and investigative journalists can contribute to combating corruption; how effective protection for whistleblowers can be ensured; and how civic participation and public trust can be strengthened.

Please note that attendance at the conference is subject to prior registration.
The first day of the two-day event is open to all registered participants. The programme of the second day is organised by the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) and is open exclusively to invited guests.
The workshop organised by the OECD on the first day of the conference is also a closed session, and participation is by invitation only.
The event will be conducted in Hungarian and English, with simultaneous interpretation provided.
